Juniper is a well-recognized aroma especially distinguishable during the winter holidays.  The berry is steam distilled and produces an earthy, strong aroma that is wonderful to diffuse in the home.  Because of it's strong, earthy properties, juniper is incredibly good at grounding the individual.  If you're dealing with stress and just need a time-out, place a drop of juniper in your hands, rub them together and cup over your nose and mouth and inhale to bring about a few moments of peace and calming of the soul.  This product is available in a 15 mL amber glass Euro bottle.

Juniper is a versatile oil, commonly used for skin conditions and to help the skin maintain a youthful appearance in both tone and elasticity.  Internally, juniper is used for multiple urinary conditions from frequent infections to lose control of the bladder.  Historically the berries have been boiled into a decoction and drank as a tea, or a few chewed throughout the day to improve kidney and urinary conditions.


Nourishing to the skin, reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.  Tonifying to the skin.  Tonic to the kidneys and urinary tract.


Aromatic – Add 3-4 drops of oil to distilled water and diffuse; inhale directly by cupping your hands around an open bottle and breathe in deeply through your nose.

Topical – Directly apply 1-3 drops of oil to the area of concern or reflex points (this oil can be applied “neat” with no dilution, or dilute using a carrier oil for people with sensitive skin).

Internal – Place 1-4 drops in a capsule and drink with a full glass of water, or add a few drops as a flavoring in cooking.

For people with sensitive skin, Wellness Warrior suggests diluting essential oils with a vegetable-based carrier oil, such as raw coconut or jojoba oil.  As with all oils, we recommend using this oil with caution in children under the age of six and by pregnant women.
