Lobelia Herbal Tincture

DESCRIPTION: 

Lobelia is common plant used primarily for two purposes, to stop respiratory wheezing and open the lungs as its primary action.  The herb is Lobelia inflata which is Latin for "to inflate the lobes of the lungs".  Lobelia also has another action which can be a side-effect if taken the incorrect way.  Lobelia needs to be squirted under the tongue to absorb, or be swallowed, but not shot into the back of the throat as that can cause nausea and vomiting.  This is the second action of the herb.  When food poisoning or vomiting is indicated, lobelia can be squirted onto the back of the throat (uvula or tonsils) to induce vomiting, when indicated.

Lobelia is also used as a smoking cessation herb.

This product comes in a 2-ounce glass amber dropper bottle.

COMMON USES:

Wheezing of the lungs, dry cough, uncontrollable cough, to induce vomiting, food poisoning, as an antidote for drug abuse and to stop smoking, and for attention deficit.

PROPERTIES:

Anti-asthmatic, antioxidant, antispasmodic, bronchodilator, emetic, diaphoretic, expectorant, induce vomiting, relaxant (in small doses), respiratory stimulant, stress-relieving, relaxes stomach and gallbladder spasms, and strangulated hernia. 

HOW TO USE:

Internal – Take 1 dropper full as needed at the onset of respiratory wheezing.  Take every 10 minutes until wheezing stops for a total of 6 doses.  Seek emergency care if there is no improvement in symptoms.  

Children – Safe for children.  Use one-half dropper full at a time and adjust the dosage as needed.
