Fennel, Foeniculum vulgare

Fennel is a wonderful essential oil whose use dates back to Ancient Rome.  Used mostly for digestive complaints and to improve respiratory function, fennel is a must-have oil in your home!  Many people describe the aroma and taste to be similar to licorice.  This product is available in a 15 mL amber glass Euro bottle.

All Wellness Warrior essential oils are organic.

Commonly used to treat abdominal issues related to gas, indigestion, and upset stomach.  Fennel is also used to assist with respiratory complaints as it helps to open the airways and relieve chest congestion.  Applied topically, fennel is present in our propriety blend, Tension Relief headache blend.

Analgesic, antiseptic, appetite suppressant, carminative (relieves flatulence/gas),  digestive, expectorant, stomachic, and is stimulating.

Aromatic – Add 3-4 drops of oil to distilled water and diffuse; inhale directly by cupping your hands around an open bottle and breathe in deeply through your nose.

Topical – Directly apply 1-3 drops of oil to the area of concern, in the belly button for digestive complaints, on the temples for headaches, or reflex points (this oil can be applied “neat” with no dilution, or dilute using a carrier oil for people with sensitive skin).  For tension headaches, consider our signature blend, available in a roller bottle.

Internal – Place 1-4 drops in a capsule and drink with a full glass of water, or add a few drops as a flavoring in cooking.

Oral - Using your finger, apply oil directly to the area of concern in the mouth.

Children – Safe for children over the age of six with proper dilution.  Please refer to our Wellness Warrior Essential Oil Dosing Guide.

For people with sensitive skin, Wellness Warrior suggests diluting essential oils with a vegetable-based carrier oil, such as raw coconut or jojoba oil.  As with all oils, we recommend using this oil with caution in children under the age of six and by pregnant women.
